Come and speak on the radio!
Pasda are on the lookout for carers of adults with autism who would like to come on the radio and talk about their experiences as a carer. We would love it for carers to share stories good and bad, issues, concerns, hopes and dreams for the future.
If you would like to be interviewed on air by Colin Williamson at Sam Radio (Scottish Autistic Media), we are looking for one carer a month to come along to the studio at St. Margaret’s House, London Rd, Edinburgh.
SAM Radio is a totally unique radio station that is ran by people with an ASD, the shows are many and varied. You can tune in at www.samradio.org/listen-now/. If you have a smart phone you can download the app Tune-in and search for Sam Radio (skip the payment screen when directed there as the app is actually free).
Sam Radio is growing in popularity all the time, and have listeners tune in from all over the world. They are live Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and the rest of the week they play non-stop music. It’s a great platform for people with an ASD to get experience as a DJ and working in radio. They are constantly on the lookout for new DJs and hosts to join their team at the studio, so if you know anybody with autism or Asperger’s syndrome who might like to get involved in anyway with the radio station contact Sheilah info@samradio.org
The carer interviews that Pasda are organising would take place on a Tuesday at 2:00pm. Carers would be expected to be at the studio by 1:40pm.
