DESCRIPTION:We are holding an internet safety workshop between 10.00am and 2.00pm on 24th April 2017 at Autism Initiatives\, 24 Hill Street\, Edinburgh for people requiring basic computer skills to get online\, how to set up an email account\, use of search engines\, demystifying some of the jargon that goes along with computers and the internet. Carers can bring along their own laptops ortablets\, although we will provide laptops for those Carers who do not possess their own. \nAfter this initial one off basic skills workshop\, we will arrange subsequent workshops with the emphasis on how the Internet can help Carers have more time for themselves by doing things like online shopping\,banking and payingbills. As well as keeping themselvesand theirfamily safe online\, we will include the use of Social Media sites\, Forums and the like. \nLunch will be provided so let us know if you have any special dietary requirements. \nPlease let us know if you would like to attend by telephone: 0131 475 2416 or email info@pasda.org.uk.

DESCRIPTION:The April walking group will meet at 10.00 a.m. outside W H Smith at Waverley Station. We will travel by train to Dalmeny station\, a short journey of about 15 minutes\, where we will be met by Gordon Wood and other carers with cars to transport walkers to the start of the walk at The Hawes Inn at South Queensferry (Newhalls Rd\, South Queensferry EH30 9TA) Google map:The Hawes Inn.Please let Cath Purdie know if you prefer to join the group at the Hawes Inn. \nThe circular route will be a gentle walk of slightly less than 5 miles taking in the panoramic views of the Forth estuary and bridges\, around the Dalmeny estate and back to the Hawes Inn\, including a ÔÇ£surpriseÔÇØ along the route. There will be an opportunity to rest by the side of the estuary to enjoy the view\, so don’t forget to bring a camera and binoculars if you have them! \nOn the return to the Hawes Inn a light lunch will be provided either at the Inn or at Craigie’s Farm (yet to be decided)\, before returning to Edinburgh via Dalmeny station. \nOn a fine spring day this will be one of the loveliest walks available to us. DESCRIPTION:Two of our Pasda members Gordon and Maureen would like to show some of us how to Curl on ice! Pasda have been able to book a sheet of ice at the Murrayfield Ice Rink on Saturday 4th March at 11.30. \nSessions are for two hours and maybe we will be enjoying ourselves so much we won’t wish to come off the ice earlier! We can leave whenever we are ready and move upstairs for soup and scone and a friendly debriefing! \nGordon suggests we should arrive for say 11.00 so that we can take you upstairs to watch a game in progress so as to give you some inkling as to the rules of the game etc. \nIt will be a first come first served basis ÔÇô if we enjoy it we can run it again for others. During the summer we meet on Thursdays at 10am at the Education hut\, break for lunch @12.30\, and stop around 3.30-4pm. Come and say hello! \nPlease let Louise\, our Community Garden Support Worker know if you would like to come along\, and also if you need assistance with transport.
