DESCRIPTION:Our first public event for families will be a variety of live acoustic music\, story-telling\, comedy and Jojo Sutherland as compère – what could be more fun?  It will held at the Granary\, 32-34 Shore\, Leith\, Edinburgh EH6 6QN venue which has room for dancing and the bar will be open for food and drinks to purchase on the night. As it is a licenced bar only people over 16 years will be admitted. Entrance is free but we will be collecting donations for Pasda. \nTo register\, please contact info@pasda.org.uk phone 0131 475 2416 or register on Eventbrite to book your place. \nAlso Autism Initiatives is having a half day training session on Friday 31st March as part of World Autism Awareness Week.  Rachel McRitchie is holding an afternoon session from 2 – 4.30pm at Number 6 for anyone looking to gain a basic understanding of autism. \nContact Number 6 to book a place by emailing joanna.dickinson@aiscotland.org.uk. \nYou can find other events happening across Edinburgh during the period 28th March – 6th April on the Council’s web page.

We will travel by train to Dalmeny station\, a short journey of about 15 minutes\, where we will be met by Gordon Wood and other carers with cars to transport walkers to the start of the walk at The Hawes Inn at South Queensferry (Newhalls Rd\, South Queensferry EH30 9TA) Google map:The Hawes Inn.Please let Cath Purdie know if you prefer to join the group at the Hawes Inn. \nThe circular route will be a gentle walk of slightly less than 5 miles taking in the panoramic views of the Forth estuary and bridges\, around the Dalmeny estate and back to the Hawes Inn\, including a ÔÇ£surpriseÔÇØ along the route. There will be an opportunity to rest by the side of the estuary to enjoy the view\, so don’t forget to bring a camera and binoculars if you have them! \nOn the return to the Hawes Inn a light lunch will be provided either at the Inn or at Craigie’s Farm (yet to be decided)\, before returning to Edinburgh via Dalmeny station. \nOn a fine spring day this will be one of the loveliest walks available to us.
