PASDA Development Coordinator  

Fixed term, 12th month contract (opportunity for extension)  

Flexible, Part-time, up to 20-hour contract. Negotiable. 

£24,000 pro rata

Since the 1990s, Pasda has supported the families of neurodivergent adults in Edinburgh and the Lothians. We do this by providing opportunities to meet others and offer practical help. We have an opportunity for a compassionate and committed individual to join our small and inclusive team to offer meaningful support for our community.  

Why work with us?  

Positive Social Impact: This role concerns promoting Pasda through relevant networks, gaining information and engaging with other carer or neurodivergent charities to help us reach parent-carers of neurodivergent adults. The main responsibility of this role is organising 6 monthly social groups throughout the region.  

Opportunity for using imagination: The successful candidate should be driven and resourceful, finding new angles for Pasda to explore to reach its full potential  

Flexible position: The hours for this role can be accrued flexibly over a week, with some evening and weekend work required. Hybrid working is also an option.  

Training and Developmental Opportunities eg Workshops relating to Understanding Autism/neurodiversity, Evidence for Impact reports, conflict management.  

Candidate experience  

Facilitation: Experience of facilitating meetings and events ( booking rooms, contacting people, finding venues).  

Admin: Familiarity with basic systems and secretarial duties (answering correspondence, organising travel arrangements, prioritising competing tasks). 

ProjectsThe ability to use initiative and prioritise own workload effectively, experience in a similar role or projects (independently managing tasks and working confidently). 

Desirable  

Knowledge of charities and the third sector, preferably within the region 

Familiarity of working with neurodivergent individuals or lived experience relating to disability or support systems  

Previous commitment to the active practice of equality, diversity and inclusivity.
